As of 27 April 2020, 12pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 799 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore.

Among the cases:

  • 0 imported case
  • 18 are cases in the community 
    • 14 Singaporeans/Permanent Residents, 4 Work Passes
  • 17 are Work Permit holders residing outside dormitories
  • 764 are Work Permit holders residing in dormitories

Of the new cases, 51% are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.

35 more cases of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. To date, 1,095 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities.

Most of the 1,451 confirmed cases who are still in hospital are stable or improving. 20 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

11,863 cases who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.

Two deaths due to COVID-19

An 82 year-old male Singapore Citizen and an 81 year-old male Singapore Citizen have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 27 Apr. The National Centre for Infectious Diseases has reached out to their families and is extending assistance to them.

14 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
