Coronavirus (COVID-19): Daily data for Scotland
Numbers of reported cases, deaths, patients in hospital and other management information such as number of 111 calls and NHS staff absences.

Scottish COVID-19 test numbers: 18 April 2020
A total of 38,233 people in Scotland have been tested. Of these:
- 30,413 were confirmed negative
- 7,820 were positive
- 893 patients who tested positive have died

Management information reported by NHS Boards shows
- 182 patients were in intensive care last night, with 178 of those having tested positive
- there were 1,793 people in Scottish hospitals with either confirmed or suspected COVID-19 (including those in intensive care)

Other management information
On 17 April 2020 there were:
- 3,499 calls to 111 and 499 calls to the Coronavirus Helpline. The number of calls to 111 includes all calls, whether or not they relate to COVID-19
- 1,562 Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) attendances, of which 417 were for suspected COVID-19. SAS took 244 people to hospital with suspected COVID-19
- 616 people delayed in hospital. This is 996 less than the baseline period (04/03 weekly return). An initial target to reduce delays by 400 by the end of March and a further target of reducing by a further 500 by the end of April have now been met.
- 459 (42%) adult care homes which had lodged at least one notification for suspected COVID-19 to the Care Inspectorate. It is important to note that not all of these care homes will still have outbreaks; additional data will be published shortly on the number that currently have outbreaks.
- a total of 7,931 staff, or around 4.8% of the NHS workforce, are reporting as absent due to a range of reasons related to Covid-19
